From Egypt we received a request to provide an equipment that could optimally cover plantations of date palms in the different stages of growth and consequently with different heights.
Palms tree are a crop with predominantly vertical development and, contextually, with a vegetative foliage whose the diameter can reach 10m.
Considering the treatment needs on date palm plantations in Egypt, whose the difficulty consists in reaching both the treatment of the fruit (positioned near the trunk, just below the foliage) and the entire leaf volume (with development up to 5m radius) and also overall heights varying from 7m to 20m, CIMA SPA projected and built a sprayhead in a vertical configuration with four multiple cannons to ensure the correct and homogeneous coverage of the fruit and leaves.
The sprayhead, applicable to low-volume pneumatic sprayers model Blitz 55 (trailed) and New Plus 55 (3-point mounted), can be used with Date palms, Oil palms, Coconut palms and Rubber trees plantations ensuring targeted and effective treatments on crops with high vertical development.
